Terms and conditions:

1. SECURING YOUR BOOKING

The booking of the bridal arrangement is only reserved once the client has paid the non-refundable deposit of 50% to the makeup artist.

Arranging a trial does not reserve the makeup artist’s services for the event. 

The booking for a commercial job is only reserved once the client has given all the information that is needed to come prepared (location, date, times, team, where it will be used for and for how long also the budget & expectations has to be clear for both parties. (Preliminary discussions that are no longer then 2 hours will not be charged.

Charlotte can be booked for half & whole days. The minimum bookings time is 1 hour. Whole days will be calculated as 8 hours straight on set half days are 4 hours straight. For commercials whole days will be 8 hours, half 4 hours. For Weddings whole days will be calculated as 8 hours straight , half day will be 3 hours. Every hour more will be charged the standard rate, for commercials it will be the standard rate plus 50%. For all bookings between 22.00-08.00 will be charged 200% of the standard rate.

2. PAYMENT

Payments can be made via bank transfer.

Bridal trials must be paid either prior or cash on the date of the trial before starting.

With weddings the final balance is to be paid in full by the client 7 days before the event.  In case of other bookings it will be a term of 30 days after the invoice has been sent. 

Failure to pay the fee within the stated time may result in the wedding date / trial being released and with other bookings that a debt collection agency will take over to make sure the payment will be fulfilled.

3. SURCHARGES

If you have a larger bridal party or booking and it occurs that I am unable to get everyone ready on time I can bring along an experienced team to assist me. There will be a charge to cover this, prices can be advised once I know your requirements. When the client clearly has stated that the booking can only occur when the weather is suitable, only then the booking can be moved once free of charges. A second time, a fee of 50% of the payment will be charged, while with a third time the whole payment will be charged. All prices are exclusive the established BTW and travel expenses.

4. TRAVEL EXPENSES

The total cost includes travel from Almere to the destination with public transportation 2nd class or by car (0.19 per KM).

If it applies to the booking, cab and/or parking costs can be added.

If the booking requires traveling across borders, the client will be held responsible to pay for the travel expenses and accommodation costs beforehand. For the time of traveling, 50% of the day rate will be charged.

5. TRIAL

Trials for brides are taken out in my salon (Almere) unless otherwise arranged – travel prices then may apply. 

6. RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CLIENT

The client shall inform the make up artist of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment or products. This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies, Covid-19 precautions (see RIVM regulations) and medical conditions. The makeup artist cannot be held liable for any losses that are incurred due to the client’s failure to inform them of any know condition.

The make up artist reserves the right to refuse service to the client or members of the party for, but not limited to, infectious conditions / abusive and threatening behaviour.

The artist reserves the right to reject/cancel the booking if the Covid-rules are not abhered.

7. CANCELLATIONS

Cancellation more then 48 hour prior to the day no cancellation fee will be charged.  Cancellation within 48 hour prior to the day 50% of the total payment will be charged. Cancellation within 24 hour of the booking will result in 100 % of the total payment to be charged. When a booking is made for multiple days, the cancelation time will be the same as time of the booking, if there is a cancelation within that time 100 % of the total payment will be charged.

The make up artist will be under no obligation to refund any money paid up until point of cancellation, however the client will not be liable for any further payments.

Cancellations made by the make up artist due to circumstances including, but not limited to, problems rendering the makeup artists performance of their obligations where no other suitable alternative can be offered, a full refund will be given to the client. No further compensation will be offered.

If the booking is directly affected by circumstance beyond the control of the makeup artist where possible the makeup artist will endeavour to rectify such situations however no compensation will be offered on the makeup artist part. It is strongly advised you take out  insurance to cover you against these situations.

8. PHOTOGRAPHY

The client agrees that the makeup artist may use any photography for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to the makeup artists website and social media pages. This includes photos taken by Charlotte (possibly before and after photos) her assistants and photos taken by your professional photographer.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Charlotte’s liability shall not exceed the charges paid under this booking agreement.

Charlotte shall have no liability for any third-party (product/service) whatsoever regardless of cause, even if it has been recommended.

By agreeing to book Charlotte in writing you accept these terms and conditions.

Special Occasion Terms and Conditions:

If I have reserved a space this will be held for 48hours.

Once the deposit of 50% of the payment has been received this appointment will be secure and you will have a balance left to pay on the day.

The deposit is non-refundable however if you cancel with a minimum of 10 days notice you are able to rearrange your appointment within half a year of the deposit payment.

The total cost includes travel from Almere, but excludes tolls, congestion charge or parking costs. The client will cover any other necessary travel expenses of the makeup artist as agreed at time of booking.
